Philip Olasa, PT, OCS, CMT

Philip Olasa earned his degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and his Master of Physical Therapy degree (MPT) in 1999 from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Philip is board Certified in orthopedics (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association and is Certified in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (CMT).  

He grew up in Oak Park, IL and Elmhurst, IL and enjoyed exercising, playing basketball, running.  He was introduced to weight lifting in high school and went on to become a competitve weight lifter where he learned the importance of performing the right exercises, the proper sequence, and taking precautions to emphasize safety.  This was when he knew that he wanted to be in the health and fitness field.  After exploring all the health careers he knew that physical therapy was right field that combined his love for exercise with the latest evidence based reasearch to have the greatest impact on people that needed help.

In college, he worked as Health Aide and in the fitness centers.  He received his certififcation as Health and Fitness Instructor with the American College of Sports Medicine and worked as a personal trainer to help pay for college.  In physical therapy school, he trained at Mercy Hospital, Hinsdale Hospital, and Cook County Hospital where he treated everything from orthopedics and pediatrics to woud care and the burn unit. He also worked at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in the orthopedic, brain injury, and spinal cord departments.  He eventually focused in orthopedic physical therapy and for the last 18 years, he has specialized in private out-patient orthopedic and manual therapy spinal care.  He has attended numerous continuing eduation courses and certifications including differential diagnosis, vestibular rehabiliation, dry needling therapy, trigger point release treatment, osteopathic manual therapy, and advanced spinal treatment methods.

After working at various hosptial centers and brifely at some larger corporate physical therapy centers, he decided that he prefered to treat his patients in a patient focused one-on-one-setting to maximize the hands-on treatment approach that he developed.  His treatment focuses on helping patients quickly and safely return to their daily activities and to educate them on how they can progress their recovery for the long term.  


Jennifer Laube,  PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, ATC, CSCS

Jennifer graduated Summa Cum Laude from Carthage College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training and Business Administration. While earning her undergraduate degree she played for the women's soccer team as the starting goalkeeper, and coached youth athletes during off season. After graduation, Jennifer received her certification in athletic training (ATC) and worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Carthage. In 200, she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) to improve sports performance training for college and youth athletes.

In 2009, Jennifer earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Immediately after receiving her therapy license (PT) she pursued a certification in manual therapy, which she completed in 2012, and continued with her clinical fellowship until becoming a Fellow (FAAOMPT) in 2013.   She enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, and sports-related conditions, with special interest in spine, shoulder, and knee injuries. Her manual therapy background emphasizes differential diagnostics, joint mobilization or manipulation, soft tissue and neural mobilization, and individualized exercise progression. Her sports medicine background combined with an eclectic manual therapy approach allows her to help patients return to their highest level of function.

Jennifer enjoys both the clinical and educational aspects of physical therapy. She was a teaching assistant for several grad school classes and post-graduate manual therapy courses, and has lectured at many company sponsored continuing education courses. She is passionate about helping others through continued education and providing evidence based treatment.  Jennifer enjoys staying active, supporting Chicago sports teams, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She played many sports growing up, including competitive volleyball, basketball, and soccer, and continues to enjoy sports recreationally. Her experience as an athlete, coach, team trainer, and athletic trainer, in addition to personal injuries sustained playing sports, formed the basis for her passion and understanding of rehabilitative medicine, and has helped form her treatment approach.


 


Nikki Munoz, Exercise Physiologist

Nikki is a graduate of the Exercise Physiology program from Elmhurst College. She is instrumental in preparing patients for treatment, monitoring their exercise program, and ensuring optimal progression and safety.  She played on the college basketball team and continues to enjoys athletics.


 Daisy De La Torre, Patient Coordinator

Daisy is the friendly voice on the phone and one of the first smiling faces you see when you walk in the door at Emery Physical Therapy. She has extensive experience in managing the office, the front desk, and coordinating patient care. 


Marilyn Ramos, Office Operations

Marilyn has extensive experience in managing our office and handling the adminstrative work  She enjoys the outdoors and roller blading.

 


Lynn Hartmann, Billing Manager

Lynn is the founder/owner of ProvidrSoft and ProvidrServ, Inc. She began computer programming/system design in 1983 and began working with medical offices in 1985. Lynn has managed all aspects of billing for Emery Physical Therapy for over 17 years and is the designated contact person to handle all billing inquiries.  She has extensive experience in the never ending arena of insurance regulations including Medicare and HIPAA. In her spare time Lynn enjoys her rescue dogs with a special love of the German Shepherd Dog.


Roy Barton, Billing Specialist

Roy is instrumental in handling the day-to- day billing functions and in making sure billing issues are addressed immediately so the rest of us can focus on patient care. Roy has many years of experience in medical billing and claim follow-up and has been a part of the ProvidrServ, Inc team since October 2005. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in accounting. In his spare time Roy enjoys karaoke, camping, and is a member of an organization raising funds for homeless veterans and cancer research.
